Overview
AABR, a nonprofit organization that has supported individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for nearly 70 years, required a modern, accessible website. This new site needed to educate the public about their essential programs and serve as a tool for fundraising and engagement. Their previous website lacked functionality, user-friendly navigation, and integration with contemporary donor platforms.
Solution
Visionary designed and developed a new custom WordPress website that highlights AABR’s wide range of services while streamlining the user journey for supporters, families, and donors. The site was built with flexibility and scalability in mind, with custom post types for programs and events. We integrated Bloomerang and Classy—two leading nonprofit CRMs—to support donor relationship management, and connected the Kindful platform to enable seamless online donations. To meet accessibility standards, we installed the AccessiBe ADA remediation widget to help the site comply with WCAG Level AA guidelines.
Results
The new website serves as a robust outreach and fundraising platform for AABR, offering a professional, ADA-compliant presence that clearly communicates its mission and impact. Enhanced functionality, CRM integration, and donation tools have positioned the organization to grow donor support and increase visibility in the community it serves.
